Thujopsis is a conifer in the cypress Family and the sole Member of the genus Thujopsis dolabrata. Endemic to Japan where it is called Asunaro, it is agreed by most to be the most beautiful of the conifers. At maturity, Thujopsis reaches 40 meters tall with a base of 1.5 meter diameter. The scale-like leaves look dinosaurian and are arranged in decussate pairs 3 – 10 mm long. They are glossy green color from above, but marked with white stomatal bands running along the undersides. We offer this remarkable tree in several different sizes.
