Pachypodium geayi

This rare plant is another offering from our trip to Madagascar. The king of the thorn forest Pachypodium geayi is a species of Pachypodium from Southwest Madagascar. It has a metallic grey colored trunk which is covered with long, dense thorns and will often branch from damage sustained from cold or injury. Its leaves are fairly thin and grey-green, with a bright pink mid-rib and it blooms with beautiful white flowers. It makes an exceptional house plant and will grow outdoors in frost free locations. Plants sold in quart containers and measure approximately 6" tall.
