Tillandsia xerographica
Tallandsia xerographica is a species of bromeliad that is native to southern Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras and is the most beautiful of all of the Tallandsias. While slow-growing, this xerophytic epiphyte sports massive silvery gray leaves are wide at the base and taper to a curling point making an attractive, sculptural rosette, 3 feet or more in diameter. The inflorescence is massive; over 3 feet tall on a thick green stem forming a densely branched candelabra. The leaf bracts are rosy red, the floral bracts are chartreuse, and the petals of the tubular flowers are red to purple. All together they form an electric color combination. The flowers will last for months! We offer this rare and beautiful 2 year old plant grown from seed, while supplies last! Plants measure 8” diameter.
