Golden Spanish Fir
Abies pinsapo ‘Aurea’ , or Spanish Fir belongs to the Pinaceae family and is a coniferous tree from the mountains of Spain. These trees are arguably one of the most beautiful of all conifers and make a great subject for a rock garden. . The Golden Spanish Fir grows to about twenty to twenty-five feet tall and has a five to ten foot spread. This slow-growing flat-topped shrub requires some shelter from the hottest sun to prevent sunburn and its hardiness is Zone 7 (0 to +10 F). We have selected trees with the finest Sulfur-yellow needle color and striking red cone color and combined them to create a tree with eye popping contrast. We offer this incredibly rare and collectable tree as a three year old graft measuring approximately 1’ tall by 6” wide.
