We collected several of these wonderful palms on our trip to China. It is an extremely versatile palm in the landscape with circular leaves around 75 cm (25 in.) across that are divided into about 20 rather narrow segments. The slender leaf stalks are armed with small, black spines along the margins. The inflorescences are upright and little branched. In cultivation it is little known but will adapt easily to most tropical and frost free warm temperate climates. Grown in 1 gallon containers, shipped bare root poacked in moist moss.
