Blue Spanish Fir
Blue Spanish fir is a stunning and majestic evergreen tree that draws attention with its intensely colored powder blue needles. The non prickly needles are arranged radially around the branchlets which creates an interesting texture and is enticing to the touch. In early spring the branch tips are covered with surprisingly beautiful small violet-red pollen cones, which are especially attractive against the blue foliage. The slow growth (to 5 meters) and disease resistance of this fir make it an excellent selection for urban plantings. Its hardiness is to USDA zone 6 to 9. We offer this incredibly rare and collectable tree as a three year old graft measuring approximately 2’ tall by 8” wide.
